Food Bank Vietnam has donated gifts to over 200 underprivileged children from shelters, protection centers, and charity schools, providing them with the opportunity to interact, enhance their swimming skills, and improve their health and physical fitness in the event “Launch of the community swimming and drowning prevention project – Frogman” and the opening of the “Green Frog Swimming Championship” in 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event is organized by the Vietnam Community Sports Development Organization in collaboration with the Cultural and Sports Center of Go Vap District (HCMC) and the Vietnam Paralympic Committee.

Through various activities, the project aims to raise awareness of drowning prevention among the community, promote swimming skills for all, and contribute to enhancing awareness of drowning prevention, particularly among vulnerable and disadvantaged children in society.

It supports the enhancement of management capacity, coordination, and implementation of drowning prevention activities for children in Vietnam. The project also aims to create favorable conditions for all children to access and learn swimming skills and grasp effective drowning prevention measures safely.

The Frogman project marks a significant milestone in the journey of implementing the Green Journey campaign, reaching and providing maximum support in promoting swimming skills and preventing drowning nationwide, which will be further expanded to all 63 provinces and cities in 2025.
