Recently, Food Bank Vietnam collaborated with MetLife Asia, involving 60 leaders from across the region, to co-organize and implement a number of volunteer activities as part of the “Improving Children’s Nutrition and Fitness, Towards a Healthy Vietnam” campaign at the Village of Hope in Da Nang City, Vietnam.

The representatives from Food Bank Vietnam and MetLife planted commemorative trees at Village of Hope.

The program served over 200 nutritious meals for the children and brought a dynamic playground for them to participate in outdoor sport activities together. Those moments hold the promise of bringing a summer filled with joy and warmth to the little ones in the village, thereby encouraging their spirit of learning and resilience to strive for a better life.

MetLife’s active participation reflected its purpose to help everyone build a more confident future. In pursuit of its commitment to its communities, MetLife employees contributed over 50,000 volunteering hours last year across Asia.

Food Bank Vietnam significantly contributes to the mission of food waste reduction and supporting food for communities in need towards a zero-hunger Vietnam to boost the sustainable development of the food system. The Village of Hope has been helping vulnerable children for over three decades.
